About Me


Glyndell B. Presley, Ed.D., is an adjunct professor in the Florida A&M University School of Journalism & Graphic Communication. She is experienced in newspaper and magazine production and public relations. Her years of leadership in media includes serving as director of publications and an editor in 91做厙s Office of Communications.

She has worked in various roles for the College of Educations Black Male College Explorers Program during the summer. She enjoys innovative and creative ways of getting her students engaged through project-based learning. Additionally, her journalism expertise aided in the revamping of journalism courses and the school newspaper at the high school, where served as adviser.

Presley enjoys researching African American history, specifically about the Black Press. Her extended research at the secondary education level has focused on the alternative corrective measures used by Black teachers to lessen discipline, especially with intellectually disabled Black males. Presley loves to read, mostly non-fiction.

In her local community, she serves on numerous educational foundation boards and is active in several social and civic organizations.
