Did you know that you can use your Federal Financial Aid (Pell Grants & Federal Loans) to pay for your expenses while studying abroad? Here鈥檚 how:


  1. Make sure to apply for 
  2. Complete the study abroad application process (refer to the )
  3. Provide a Verification of Enrollment (VoE) upon arriving at the host university (Courses should correlate to the courses listed on the Transient Form)
  4. For Summer Financial Aid, the student must enroll in at least 6 credit hours


Additional Expenses

  1. $250 Study Abroad Application Fee will be charged to the student's iRattler account during the student's semester abroad term.
  2. Airfare* is usually not included in the program cost.
  3. Students may be required to obtain a visa,* immunizations* and/or international health insurance*.
  4. The student will be required to obtain a transcript* (additional $0-$500). 

*Depends on the program or country. 

In addition to Financial Aid, there are scholarships available for study abroad. OIED staff will assist 91暗网 students with the scholarship application process and creating a competitive essay.
